Sampsons become a Velux blind distributor
Sampsons can now supply and install the full range of Velux blinds, either manually or electrically operated. The range includes roller, venetian and pleated blinds with an extensive collection of fabrics to suit all types of décor and requirements.

Offering an innovative and attractive way to accentuate or flatter French doors, sliding doors, floor-to-ceiling windows and archways, the panel blind also helps to control sunlight, prevent glare on television and monitor screens and of course maintain privacy. The panel blind can even be used as a stunning room divider; providing the flexibility to create either a large space when open, or a little seclusion when closed.

Improved awning operation
Sampsons have added servo assistance to all their manual awnings, ensuring that they are as easy to retract as they are to extend. All Sampson’s manual awnings are operated by a detachable crank handle which drives a gearbox and extends the arms of the awning against the springs or pistons in the arms which are necessary to keep the fabric taut.

The servo assistance is provided by a spring mechanism in the barrel of the awning which ensures an easy and smooth retraction of the awning.

New range of Roman Blinds
Sampsons have just launched a new range of traditional and contemporary roman blind fabrics to its established range. The new range includes the very popular faux suede fabrics as well as natural looking linen and hessian. All Roman blinds are fully lined and options include black-out linings, shaped finishes to the base of the blind and two operating systems ­ a cord with a cord lock (like a venetian blind system) or a continuous chain (like a roller blind system). Sampsons are also able to make Roman blinds with customer’s own fabric.

Sampsons have pleated blinds and Pinoleum blinds on display at Countryside Home Improvements new show conservatories at Notcutts Garden Centre in Woodbridge. The blinds are both manually and electrically operated and show how shaped conservatory roofs can be easily and professionally shaded with the right products.
