Hand stitching Sampson pleated blinds for a perfect fit
An orange striped Sampsons awning

• We are the only company in the world to hand stitch our pleated blinds on the reverse of the fabric to ensure the blinds fit perfectly and retain their shape.

• The fibres used on our awning covers are “solution dyed” - that is they are the same colour all the way through the yarn rather than just having a surface coating.

• The biggest, single awning we can supply is 14m (46’) by 3.5m (11’ 6”).

• Whilst most of our pleated blinds are fitted to conservatories their unique cording and the ability to make shapes has meant that they have found many uses including: boats, caravans, coaches and even a lighthouse.

Sampsons were pleased to work with Mr & Mrs Iredale at their Huf Haus to provide blinds for the shaped vertical glazing to the bedroom and bathroom areas. Using a 20mm pleated angle freehanging blind we were able to provide a simple yet elegant solution which provided privacy when required but also allowed the blinds to be fully retracted to enjoy the splendid views.

• All our awning fabrics are Teflon® coated to make them resistant to dirt, water and fading.

• All our wooden venetian blinds use timber which is planted, farmed and harvested under the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) scheme.

• As well as shaped pleated blinds Sampsons can produce shaped roller and venetian blinds as well as arched and curved vertical blinds.

• On average we shade over 600 conservatories per annum

• The Sampson shop in Ipswich was opened in 1969 - one of the first specialist blind shops in East Anglia

• On our wooden venetian and Pinoleum range we offer a custom finishing service to any Dulux paint colour.
